Our daughter has a rare heart condition, but many families face even rarer diagnoses. A friend who hosted a Care for Rare fundraiser run event last year has a son diagnosed with Classic Galactosemia. Unfortunately, rare diseases often lack adequate support, with studies showing that 95% receive no government funding.
